Type /qwoted cybersecurity researcher in any channel or DM. Qwoted returns matching expert proles: name, title, company, location, photo and bio ranked by relevance and profile quality, with a link to the full profile on Qwoted.
Browse story ideas
Type /qwoted ideas climate policy to see story ideas and pitches published by experts on Qwoted, each linked back to the source’s profile.

How it works in Slack
One command, three answers.

The /qwoted slash command. /qwoted <topic> searches experts. /qwoted ideas <topic> searches story ideas. /qwoted request opens the Call for Experts form. The command works in any channel or DM, and the bot never needs to be invited to a channel to answer you.Â

Results appear privately to you. Every search result is an ephemeral message — visible only to the person who ran the command — with Show more to page through results and Share to channel to post them publicly if you choose.

The Home tab. Open Qwoted in your Slack sidebar for one-click buttons: Call for Experts, Search for Experts, Search for Story Ideas.

Direct messages from the app. The app DMs you a confirmation when you submit a Call for Experts, and DMs you again with a live link once Qwoted’s team has published the request.
What the app never does. It does not read your channels, messages or files, and it never posts to a channel unless you press Share to channel.
How to Install
Add it in three clicks.
Any Slack user can install Qwoted. Some workspaces require an admin’s approval, in which case Slack will route the request to your admin automatically.

Click Add to Slack.

Review the permissions and choose the workspace to install into.

Click Allow. You’ll land on a confirmation page, and Qwoted appears in your Slack sidebar under Apps.
After Installation
You’re redirected to a confirmation page telling you the installation succeeded.
Then:
Type /qwoted in any channel to run your first search
or
Click Qwoted in your Slack sidebar and use Search for Experts or Call for Experts.
